The Covington Art Merchants also work with community groups not necessarily associated with the arts to complete artistic endeavors benefiting both the Art Merchants and the community group.
The merchants seek to play an active role in the relocation of new artists into Covington — providing them with a network to other artists, business opportunities and promotional material. By uniting in this way, the entire group serves to advocate the interests of the art community to Covington City Hall and the surrounding community.
The Covington Art Merchants meet at least quarterly (sometimes more often). Our next general meeting is on June 10 , 2007 - 7:00 p.m. at Covington Clay - 16 W. Pike St.
There are three categories of membership:
1. Active Membership: for those artists, gallery owners and art related businesses who live and/or work in Covington, KY 2. Associate Membership: for artists, gallery owners and art related businesses who live and work outside of Covington. Associate membership is also for all non-profit organizations. 3. Patron Membership: for those who want to support the mission of the Covington Art Merchants but do not fit into the other membership categories
