I first saw the possibilities in Covington when I moved here in 1976. The Florence Mall was still under construction, as was the NKY loop of I-275. Downtown Covington, which had been the center of commerce, was starting to lose shoppers to the ‘burbs, but still had great architecture and a sweet proximity to the River. I believed it could be the best of Kentucky brought to the marketplace of Cincinnati. Years later, my husband and I have decided to invest in not only that vision, but in the people who are blessed by it.
I love the potential in the Cincinnati region and the renaissance in the Covington/NKY arts scene. The arts are historically strong here, and are a great fit. They are also the vehicle for connecting people, birthing creativity, and even bringing forth healing. I personally love to dance and write, but whatever participation I’ve had in the arts, at whatever level, it’s brought a connection, too, with my Creator.
While we're sharing vision, picture this: a city united in building relationships and strengthening families; a region that bridges divides between Jews and Gentiles, old and young, at all abilities; a heartland committed to healing the racial rifts which historically wound us all. Our identity is as a BRIDGE CITY over the river named Justice; a retreat, a place of healing, restoration, worship, arts, commerce, education, entertainment, fun; a gathering place for the nations. We really are one city, divided by a river. Can you C it? I do love Cincy-Covington. |

I'm a baby boomer, wife, mom of 7, grandmom of 3; snuggled here with granddaughter Alexis. I have a bachelor degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. As you can imagine, it’s just a short jump from there to owning a building devoted to the arts in Covington, Kentucky…. Yes, I’m a dreamer. I look forward daily to the arrival of light rail and a bridge connecting Cincy's west side to the airport.;-) |
