The Artist’s Statement

 

In the past, I have both lived and worked in Covington.  I currently share a photography studio in the Marx Building where I shoot color and black and white film.

 

As I developed an interest in photography, I signed up for a class at the Baker-Hunt Arts and Cultural Center.  There I learned to print black and white photographs in the darkroom.

 

I continue to print black and white photographs at Baker-Hunt.  There I share the appreciation of the art of traditional black and white photography and the craft of printing black and white photographs.

 

My black and white photography has been included in three group exhibits.  One of those exhibits included my color work, which was a mixed media exhibit featuring Covington artists.  I currently have two black and white photographs in the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame Museum.
